Behind the Camera

Hi! My name is Miyoko McDonald, and I'm a photographer based out of Boerne, Texas! I'm originally from Castro Valley, California, but moved to Texas in 2021 and have loved it here ever since. I'm currently a full-time student at Texas State University in San Marcos, majoring in journalism with a minor in sports media.

A little more about me! I grew up playing competitive hockey and started playing travel hockey when I was 9 years old. Hockey has always been a huge part of my life, so getting to combine my love for the sport with photography has been really special to me.

For the past three seasons, I've been the photographer and social media manager for Texas State Hockey! I take all of the team's photos, create graphics, make videos, and manage their social media accounts. It's been such a fun experience getting to be creative while still being involved in a sport I've loved for so long.

Outside of sports, I also love capturing all of life's special moments! I believe everyone deserves to have their memories captured without breaking the bank. That's why I'm committed to offering affordable prices without compromising on quality!
